Helping Kids Reach Their Peak Potential

Our Mission

By 2035, 100 children will have been mentored for at least 3 years.

Our Vision

That every child in Hancock County will be relationally successful and prepared for the future.

Our Values

Every child is made in God’s image

  1. No one's future is absolutely determined by family origin or past

  2. Believe the best in people

  3. Listen first

  4. Think long - we overestimate how much we can accomplish in a child's life short term and underestimate long term

  5. Show up consistently - the most consistent think about our youth is inconsistent adults

  6. Pray

  7. Give few unsolicited opinions - opinions are never changed by hearing other opinions

Our Tactics and Strategies

  1. To develop 10 small group mentoring teams consisting of 10-12 youth lead by a full time group leader and Coach.

  2. To create and oversee an individual one on one mentoring program overseen by a Mentoring Coordinator.

  3. To help resource and volunteer at the elementary school.

  4. Develop and partner with churches to implement spiritual formation opportunities. Example: weekly club and camp opportunities.

  5. To be a blessing in the community where ever we can!

Example: help provide resources and volunteer at the Remote Area Medical Clinic, help at One Accord and Jubilee activities.

501(c)3 Status

OMP is a 501 (c) 3 charitable organization.
